Recycled and sewn
Chilly Tuesday night staying in
Sipping nutty brown rice green tea
Getting some headway with sewing projects
Listening to Tom Petty Let me run with you tonight I’ll take you on a moonlight ride
Mick Jagger yowling I’m a burning bush I’m a burning fire I’m a bleeding volcaaaaa–noooo!
Making me want to jump up and down
I’m making white lineny curtains for the dining room window and a new cover for the daybed/sofa in the living room. My cat thinks the daybed is his and he lies there all day. It’s fine except the current cover is dark blue which is the perfect high contrast backdrop for the orange (albeit silky soft) hair of Zeus, beloved cat slash obnoxious shedder worse than the saddest alopecia areata sufferer. The blue cover might as well be orange mohair now and I want to pull my hair out when I look at it.
Good thing I have a ton of scrap fabric, snagged free from a kind creative soul on Craigslist.

Made good use of some of of the fabric just this last Christmas to make aprons and kitchen towel bundles as presents to my sisters and sisters-in law.

I made a sweater for my sister’s dog Meeka. I used one of my old cashmere blend sweaters which had shrunk in the wash. I took her for a walk. It was a little tight but she looked cute. I had Zeus try it on; he wasn’t amused. I think he was offended by the crocheted orange flower.
